ReleaseSubscriberNumber Usage

Enables clients to release previously reserved subscriber number(s).

Multiple subscriber numbers can be released in one request. All subscriber numbers must be in a pre-activation/reserved state, or else an error will be returned to the client.

Use Cases

These are some examples of when a partner would use the ReleaseSubscriberNumber API to release a reserved subscriber number:

Subscriber number change

If a subscriber requests a new phone number, the partner would use the ReleaseSubscriberNumber API to release the current number and assign a new number to the subscriber’s account.

Release of temporary numbers

Suppose an event management company has reserved a block of subscriber numbers for an event but no longer requires them. The ReleaseSubscriberNumber API can release all the reserved numbers in a single request, freeing up the numbers for future use.
