InquireMarketServiceAreas Usage
Allows the client to lookup market, service areas, available NPA-Nxx number blocks and technology types using one of the following criteria: Zip Code, City and State, Market Code, or NPA-Nxx numbers.
It returns a list of service areas and associated markets for both local billing markets and NBI billing markets sorted by most appropriate service area for the geographical location or subscriber number.
Use Cases
These are some examples of when a partner would use InquireMarketServiceAreas to search for available services:
New subscriber
Before setting up a new subscriber account, the partner can use the InquireMarketServiceAreas API to search for market service areas, available number blocks or technology types within a customer’s zip code or address.
Subscriber number change
When a partner wishes to change a subscriber’s phone number, they can use the InquireMarketServiceAreas API to check the available numbers and supported technologies within the subscriber’s location.
