ChangeSubscriberNumber Usage

Changes the current subscriber number to a new one. The current subscriber must be in Active status.

The new subscriber number can either be selected by this service based on the equipment type provided (Cellular or GSM) or can be previously selected by the client from the available number pool.

The new subscriber number will be returned in the response.  Optionally, the Service Order Number could be returned.

Use Cases

These are some examples of when a partner would use the ChangeSubscriberNumber API to change a customer’s subscriber number:

Area code changes

Suppose a customer's area code is changing due to regulatory requirements or network expansions. The ChangeSubscriberNumber API can update their subscriber number with a new area code, while maintaining their active status.

Number change for security reasons

If a customer needs to change their phone number due to security or privacy concerns, the API can change their current subscriber number to a new one, ensuring their safety and privacy.
