This operation enables an authorized partner to retrieve Sim status of the SIM identified by the serial number.

Use Cases

These are some examples of when a customer would want to use resourceInventory to retrieve SIM status:

• Detecting SIM Card Swapping: A mobile carrier can incorporate the InquireSIMStatus API into their security system to help detect and prevent unauthorized SIM card swapping. They can monitor SIM card usage and use the InquireSIMStatus API to check the status of SIM cards associated with user accounts. If the system detects a suspicious change in SIM status, it can send an alert and take action to secure the account.

• Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues: When a customer experiences connectivity issues, the support representative can incorporate the InquireSIMStatus API into their troubleshooting procedures. Using this API, they can check if the SIM card is causing the connectivity issues and provide appropriate guidance.
