AT&T MVNX API

This operation enables an authorized partner to retrieve device status (lock or blacklisted status) of the device identified by the IMEI.

Use Cases

These are some examples of when a customer would want to use resourceInventory to retrieve device status:

• Device Validation: If a customer wants to switch service to an MVNO, the partner can use the InquireDeviceStatus API to verify if the device they intend to use is reported as stolen. This ensures that the MVNO is not unknowingly providing service to stolen devices.

• Insurance Claims Verification: When an insurance company offers coverage for mobile devices, they can use the InquireDeviceStatus API to verify claims about lost or stolen devices.
