The Pricing capability stands as the platform gateway for requesting prices.

It will work alongside the Contract, Catalog, and Product Relationship Manager capabilities to allow the business to manage customer purchasing incentives.

Fundamental Pricing Functions

• Interface with the pricing optimization management tool used by pricing team (PROS)
• PROS uses an algorithm curated by CDO using PROS's BYOS capability (Bring Your Own Science)
• Store approved generated prices

Distribution:

• Contracting can reference a price ID for details
• Sales ordering systems request for a price
• Create Price ID to track generated price details

Pricing Structure and Experience Functions

Runtime get price:

• Algorithmic price (PROS)
• Access token and default price (IGLOO)
• Include volume price adjustment as part of Algorithmic price calculation

Re-use of price structures and data:

• Net rate allows reuse of Billing PBIs
• Feedback loop via data pump from business Snowflake data

Controlled offers/approvals:

• This would be done in partnership with PRMAN capability. (Future work)
